Annexe Communities, formerly known as Partick Community Association, has a storied history that began in 1986. It was founded by dedicated local residents in Glasgow's Partick area, aiming to improve the community's quality of life. Over the years, the association engaged with the community, identified its needs, and developed initiatives to address them. In 1998, their efforts led to the acquisition of The Annexe building in Stewartville Street through a lease secured from the Glasgow City Council. This marked a turning point for the organization, providing a physical hub for a wide range of activities, including educational programs, workshops, social events, and community gatherings. Annexe Communities' commitment to fostering a sense of belonging, empowering residents, and addressing social issues made it a vital asset for the local area and an inspiration for other community-led initiatives. Throughout its journey, the organization's focus on collaboration, inclusivity, and social development has positively impacted countless lives within and beyond the Partick community
