Dailies
Where we share the progress and ideation with the clients and professors.
Weekly Summary of Dailies
Week 1
On the first day of class, we were handed the Curio Robot to explore its functionalities. The subsequent day was dedicated to Customer Day to gather key requirements and apprehend the expectations of our prospective customers. Compiling insights received from the customer feedback, we begin the creation of our initial prototypes.
Week 2
After compiling the customer's requirements, we started brainstorming and crafting out prototype ideas. To better understand the Curio platform and its operation, we sought help from the professors and teacher assistants who provided us both GitHub and the TryCurio website. With the information given, we were able to start creating our website and program the robots movement based on the prototype decided, for the next Customer Day.
Week 3
In the last week of our project, we conducted crucial usability tests with potential users. With their valuable feedback ,we polished the user interface and functionalities to aim for a seamless user experience. Additionally, we created an eye-catching poster, showcasing the product's key features and benefits. The poster became a visual representation of our hard work and innovation, ready to make a memorable impression during the product presentation.
Customer Day Summary
Customer Day 1
On first Customer Day meeting, we prepared questions for requirement gathering and finding out the customers' expectation. We also informed the customers of the time constrain of the project. Based on answers received, we need to design an activity for the course and using the robot to keep students engaged while learning. The customers also provided as with examples and stating that they want the activity to contain open-ended questions because they want to encourage students to think about their codes before executing. We also asked about the difficulties faced when teaching the courses and what they want to achieve with the Curio Platform.
Customer Day 2
For the second customer day, we had to demo our working product and update our current progress. After our showcase, the customers provided us valuable feedback to improve our products. The following comments were given:
- Instead of move value a,b, put move in words like left, right, at certain angle or move how many units of spaces
- Turtle programming
- Set fixed move functions
- Draw polygon with number of sides instead of just circle and square
- Unlocking functions as progress
- Secure the pencil more securely to robot
